Coach: Kelly Cox
20-21 Record: 4-16
The Altus Bulldogs are due for a good season and with the returning lineup, it appears this team has the foundation to be very competitive this season. Head coach Kelly Cox said his team is ready for the challenge. “This team is poised to bring Altus back to the world of basketball. There is talent on the roster, now is the time to make things happen. I believe we are going to be vastly better, but we need to make the jump to be competitive day in and day out,” said coach Cox. One player looking to leave his mark on the program is senior Kris Vuittonet (5-11). The three-year starter at point guard is expected to have a big year in his final season as a Bulldog. Byke Burrow (5-10, Sr.) is another senior looking to make the most of the new season. Burrow is a high-energy, high-intensity type player at shooting guard. Keythen Kellison (5-10, Jr.) is another shooting guard coach Cox will use this season. Kellison was a part time starter as a sophomore thanks to his motor that has no off-switch. Stephon Sterling (6-2, Jr.) is a returning starter and enjoyed a very productive summer. Sterling could be the breakout player of the year for the Bulldogs. Clayton Adams (6-2, Jr.) put in a lot of work this summer and it shows. Coach Cox believes this year could be his best yet. One underclassman everyone is excited to see is Jace Helton. With excellent range and athleticism, Helton can shoot the three and run the floor. Senior Devin Madison brings a ton of leadership to the floor. Also look for Remington Rivas this season. Rivas has all of the intangibles you want from a player.
