Altus High School senior Trent Carman is a multisport athlete, playing both football and baseball for the Altus High School Bulldogs. In football, Trent plays the positions of defensive back, kicker/punter, and in baseball, plays the position of pitcher and 3rd baseman. Many would consider Trent a sports veteran, having played football for 8 years, and baseball for 13 years. In addition to playing for Altus High School, Trent has played two years of travel baseball with the Southwest Shockers organization.

Trent is exceedingly proud to represent both his school and community as a student athlete. Trent proclaimed, “Both of my parents are graduates of Altus High School, so I take a lot of pride representing my school. My parents gave up several professional opportunities, so that I could grow up in the same supportive community that they did.”

In terms of his biggest role models, Trent looks toward family. Trent explained, “My parents are my biggest influences, because they continue to teach me the value of a strong work ethic. My family has been my biggest support system.”

As far as what motivates him, Trent stated, “Competition motivates me. From a young age, I have always been driven by competing with my opponents.”

In regards to what has made him successful in sports, Trent commented, “Hard work and commitment are key to success, because natural talent will only take you so far.”

Important memories are made during a student athlete’s career. Trent recalled, “I think the highlight so far has been my senior football season. We fell just short of the playoffs, but had some very big wins to help turn the football program around. With that said, I am hoping for big things in my senior baseball season too.”

In addition to playing football and baseball, Trent is involved in other extracirricular activities. Trent state, “I have been involved with Link Crew, and was also a 2024 Youth Tour representative in Washington D.C.”

After graduating from high school, Trent will pursue higher education while continuing to play sports, at the collegiate level. Trent stated, “I will be pursuing my dream of playing college athletics, while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.”
