VYPE: Kylie, what are your thoughts on the state swim meet this year?
Allemeier: This year’s state was truly incredible. It was so special to end my senior swim season with the girls team winning second and the boys team winning the championship.
VYPE: What has this group meant to you?
Allemeier: I love how close my teammates are to one another. Working and winning together has made this team into some of my closest friends.
VYPE: What makes being a student-athlete at Altus special?
Allemeier: The support of the town of Altus is really great to have as a student-athlete, everyone is always encouraging and enthusiastic.
VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
Allemeier: After I graduate, I plan to go to college to major in biology with an emphasis on pre-veterinary studies and continue my swim career.
VYPE: Tell me your favorite memory as an athlete at Altus?
Allemeier: One of my favorite memories from my time at Altus is the girls swim team sleepover. We built a big fire and roasted marshmallows before having a trashy movie marathon.
VYPE: Are you a military brat?
Allemeier: I moved to Altus in 2018 when my dad retired from the Air Force, so I am a military brat. However, I was also born here when my dad was previously stationed here for four months in 2003.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Allemeier: In my free time I love painting and reading, as well as any activity where I can be outdoors like hiking and kayaking.
