Altus and Duncan will be in seperate districts and will not play each other for the first time since 1991. The Bulldogs ended a five game losing streak to the Demons last year with a 33-14 win.

Altus and Guthrie are in the same district for the first time since 1983. The teams have played six times in the playoffs since then with Guthrie winning four of the games. Altus won the last machtup 35-14 in 2015.

Carl Albert and Altus are paired in a district for the first time ever. The Titans have won six in a row over the Bulldogs including the 1995 Class 5A state championship. Altus only win against Carl Albert came in 1995.

OFFENSE
The Bulldogs are ready to put last season behind them and start the 2024 season. Head coach Jeremy Reed, who is in his third season leading the program, says that his squad will have some familiar faces that will play a key role in the team’s success this season. “We return a large amount of the team that we had in 2023, led by a strong junior class,” Reed said. “We will have nine starters back on defense and eight startersn on the offensive side of the ball.” One of the team’s biggest threats on the offense side will be running back DJ Wilson (5-8, 160, Jr.), who carried the ball for 614 yards last season. He will look to continue to be a threat out of the backfield this season. Joining him in the backfield will be Garrett Gribble (6-0, 195, Sr.). He tallied 124 yards on 12 receptions and a touchdown last year and also added 132 yards on the ground. The wide receiver combo of Khamden Lane (5-9, 175, Jr.) and Colton Gillispie (5 9, 170, Sr.) combined for 60 catches for 525 yards and three touchdowns. Ajay Hughes (6-0, 250, Sr.) and Peyton Reed (6-1, 255, Sr.) will anchor things on the offensive line.
