Altus High School senior Gunner Hamon has been named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State West boys swim team.
Hamon won second in the 100m breaststroke and fourth in the 100m butterfly at the 2023 5A swimming state championships. He served as team captain.
Hamon won an individual golf state championship last spring. He shot a final round of 70 to claim the title. He signed to play golf at Northeastern State in Nov.
“Gunner always has a smile on his face and gets along well with his teammates,” Altus head swim coach Linda Wiginton said. “His self-discipline and enthusiasm has paid off in high school.”
