VYPE: When did you first start volleyball and what is your favorite part of playing it?
Taylor: I started playing volleyball my freshman year and grew a love for it as soon as I started. My favorite part about volleyball is the competition, competitiveness, and everyone working as a team.
VYPE: How has your season gone so far and have you accomplished your goals for the season; what were those goals?
Taylor: Our season has definitely been a difficult season for everyone. We’ve had a lot of new changes for the program but it’s a start of a new beginning which is heading the right way for all of us. My goals this season were to work on my setting skills and adapt to new hitters. As I am still working harder to achieve and improve my goals little by little, it is definitely improving.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Taylor: The most fun I’ve had in the last year is working at the city pool as a lifeguard, playing summer league volleyball with my team and starting a new school year with my friends and making the most of it.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Taylor: My favorite teacher is Mr. Garrison. The reason why I chose him is because I had him my 8th grade year and now my junior year. He’s always putting his students first, and wants them to succeed in whatever they do.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Taylor: My favorite athletic memory is winning a whole set my sophomore year by just serving.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Taylor: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Aubrey Coffman. The reason why I chose her is she’s always the first person to pick up the team and bring the mood up. She’s always so positive even on the down days.
VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?
Taylor: To be fair no one can compare to coach Garrison he is very unique and has his own sense of humor. The person who says the funniest things during the games is Alyssa Nolan she’s always one to make everyone laugh during a game.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Taylor: The one place I would want to go for a summer vacation is Paris. I would take my mom with me because we both love to explore new things.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Taylor: I’d like to say thank you to coach Garrison for stepping up the volleyball program and building it up and trying to make us improve day by day to play to the best of our ability he knows we can play and never giving up on us. I’d also like to thank God and my family and my teammates for always staying by my side and never giving up on me and pushing me to do better.
