“Natalie has really improved this year. She loves to compete in the pool and on the golf course. Her work ethic is contributing to her success in the pool, on the golf course, and in the classroom. Her breaststroke is improving and getting faster, as are all of her other strokes,” said coach Linda Wiginton.

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
Blonien: We work hard together every single day. We may not always agree or get along, but when it comes down to it, we will do what it takes to win.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
Blonien: I like math. Also, my favorite teacher is Mr. Reyna because we not only work, but we laugh, joke, and get on each other’s nerves.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, in or out of the pool?
Blonien: My sister, Megan Blonien, has been a huge influence in my life. She has showed me that I can achieve my goals and dreams. She has coached me and told me “You’ve got to live it, eat it, breathe it, and sleep it in order to make it big.” Swimming has been a great conditioner for golf, which I love most. It has given me flexibility, strength, endurance, and even confidence.
